Today, there are many great hits. That's the thing. Great hits. Great hits that now seem so ordinary. But every once in a while, a great hit comes with a superb video making it a "mega" hit.
That's what Avril Lavigne's "When You're Gone" is precisely so. The song already boasts such meaningful lyrics that there isn't much to talk about. All you have to do is just listen to the song and you'll understand why.
But it's so important to have a great song, accompanied by a video that really links with the song. And the video for this song is very much related to the song. And this is a rarity among today's music.
Just look at the video and immediately it just touches your heart and reminds you of all the times you have let someone important go without realizing it till it's too damn late. It also reminds us that at any given time of the day, of the week, of the month, of the year, of the century; someone close to us may just leave us without warning.
So what are you going to do?
Cliche as it will seem but it is pretty evident that it's true no matter how much you try denying it. Just make sure those you care about know that you care for them... You never know what will happen to you so just remember to always cherish what you have.
And for those who didn't quite cherish what good they had in their lives when they had it, well then it's too damn bad for you. For no matter how many times you wish you could turn back and make it all good again, things will never be the same. EVER.
So tacky as it is. Never forget those who are important to you. Those who have sacrificed much for you to lead you to where you are today.
And don't ever let go of someone or something important to you till it's too late...
